Abstract
In order to determine the effects of allogeneic tumor immunization combined with 5-Fluorouracil, the whole cell wall fraction and perchloric acid extrac-ted residure of Ehrlich ascites cacinoma tissue were prepared and treated the Ehrlich ascites carcinoma(solid tumor) in mice to-gether with 5-fluorouracil.
Thirty-six mice were divided into 6 groups of 6 animals receiving whole cell wall and perchloric acid extracted residue of Ehrlich ascitcs carcinoma tissuc, 5-Fluorouracil, whole cell wall£«5-Fluorouracil, percholoric acid extracted residue£«5-Florouracil and control.
On the 15th day after cancer cell innoculation, all mice were killed. The solid tumor ws carefully removed and weighted.
The average weight of tumor was calculated in each group, and the results are shown belowl :
Nontreated, 3.67gm; Whole cell wall, 3.49gm; Perchloric acid extracted residue, 3.03gm; 5-Fluorouracil 3.44gm; Whole cell wall£«5-Fluorouracit treated; 3.58gm; Pcrchloric cid extracted residue£«Fluoroouracil 2.39gm. Combind tretment of perchloric acid extracted residue and 5-Fluorourscil sowed effect in the solid type of Erlich ascites carcinoma.
